The Jagdterrier

The Jagdterrier is without doubt one of the most versatile of the working terrier breeds, it is exceptional blood tracker and when working boar they tend to range much deeper than other breeds, they are also excellent bay and catch terriers, they don't really have the muscle mass or weight needed to hold firm a boar themselves but in a small team will engage and hold until the end.

Just like in other hunting or working breeds you still come across a small percentage of Jagdterriers that just don't have what it takes, but most of them are very typical of their breed in getting the job done, if you have the goods you'll soon know it, they're 100% pure grit.

The Jagdterrier being and extremely versatile dog can be used for just about anything, Agility, Blood Tracking, Baying Hogs, Go To Ground, Earthwork, Shooting Land and Water Retrieval, Squirrel Hunts, Treeing, Raccoons, Possums and the list just goes on... just an extremely hard working versatile dog.
