We like good observable phenotype physical characteristics in our animals determined by both genetic makeup and environmental influences.

The Delaney Family

Ray and Jill DelaneyHello!, my name is Ray Delaney, originally from Dublin Ireland (Eire), living in the USA 20 years with my beautiful wife Jill and our four wonderful children, Patrick, Aidan, Eamonn and Fiona, all are involved in 4H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) agriculture etc.

Raised in Ireland, the north county Dublin region, Coolock, Portmarnock, Malahide etc. Malahide as most enthusiasts already know was the home town of one of the breeds most influential, historical Dexter enthusiast Mr. R. Tait Robertson of the La Mancha herd, a 30 acre Georgian home/estate in Malahide, Co Dublin, this was also the home that held within it's walls one of Irelands most gruesome murders.

I've also lived in the north of england for 14 years beside the Cumbrian Fells and the Yorkshire Moors, a rough, rugged but very beautiful terrain with small herds of feral cattle, including dexter's dotting the landscape.

Before moving to the USA I managed a commercial cattle operation in the beautiful rolling hills of Co Meath Ireland, a commercial mixed herd of Angus, Limousin, Hereford, Black Baldies and a few short legged Dexter's, known to the locals as (Stubbies), these short legged animals were kept as a conversational piece, a great heritage reminder.

Now living in the USA, we run a small breed operation in Stephenville Texas, raising a quality herd of healthy Irish Dexter cattle, producing excellent grass fed beef just as nature intended, all our animals are raised on clean healthy nutritious grasses, drink fresh clean well water and live contentedly under the big blue Texas sky.
